SCOTS CORNER HISTORY

The earliest pioneers that settled this area migrated from Scotland and one family from Northern Ireland around the 1870’s. They wanted to call the Wollomombi River the Conin River after a River in Ross-Shire in the Scottish Highlands, but the river was already registered as the Wollomombi River so the area was known as Scots’ Corner. Many of the pioneer family descendants are still well represented in the area. Some of the property names are taken form the black Isle and many from Ross-shire where your host was born.

We have an award winning super fine merino wool that is bred and grown on the property.

We recently won first place in one of the divisions at a local fat lamb competition.

We supply Woolworths with quality Premier Beef.
